強行犯係に異動になる豪太
交番で勤務する豪太は、包丁を振り回している男を取り押さえ、県警から表彰される。褒められて調子に乗った豪太はその場で異動を願い出て、横浜桜木署の捜査課に異動になる。
初日から派手な模様のジャンパーを着て出勤し、署長の大貫からは呆れられてしまう。
強行犯係に挨拶に行くと、連続空き巣犯を早く捕まえるようにと市民から苦情が来ていることを知る豪太。管轄外の空き巣犯を捕まえると、宣言するのだった。
一方、修平は大きな事件を任せてもらえず、焦っていた。
妹のみなみの部屋に転がり込んだ豪太。みなみに文句を言われるが、全くこたえない豪太だった。
空き巣犯を逮捕する豪太
目黒とともに空き巣犯を捕まえるため張り込みをする豪太。車の中で目黒と話をしていると、目の前のアパートに怪しい人影を見つける。
目黒と一緒にアパートの周りを探ると、ベランダから降りようとする男を発見し取り押さえる。男の顔を見て驚く豪太に「先生」と答える男。
連続空き巣犯は、豪太が体育教師をしていた時の教え子の滑川だった。多胡に掛け合い、取調べに立ち会わせてもらう豪太。
口は出さないと言ったものの、滑川の話を聞いているうちに思わず泣きながら説教するのだった。
豪太の歓迎会が開かれるが、滑川のことで落ち込む。家に帰りみなみにそのことを話すと、みなみが事務官としてついている修平が、その事件を担当すると聞かされる。
検事に手加減せずに厳しく取り調べるように伝えてくれと頼む豪太。
強盗殺人の可能性
翌日から、滑川の取調べを始める修平。26件の事件を認めるものの、余罪を追及すると、何も取らずに逃げた家があることを打ち明ける。
詳しく話を聞くと、1年前に空き巣をするために入ったが、老人と鉢合わせてしまい突き飛ばして逃げたのだと言う。
修平は桜木署に問い合わせ、調べるとその老人は家で亡くなっていたことが判明する。
老人は元々心臓が悪く、事件性は無かったと言う。滑川の担当検事が調べていると聞いた豪太は、死体見分調書を持って修平を訪ねる。
事件性は無いと説明する豪太に、強盗殺人の可能性があると言う修平。滑川はそんな悪いやつじゃないと言う豪太は、滑川が元教え子であることも話す。
可能性がある以上、補充調査をして物証を探すように指示するのだった。
事件を大きくしている修平に腹を立てる豪太だったが、みなみに、修平に逆らわないようにと注意される。
みなみが豪太の妹だと知る修平
樫村に報告をした修平は、捜査をするように言われる。
補充捜査のため、現場となった家に出向く豪太。内心面白くないが、そこに修平とみなみもやってくるが、物証を見つけるように指示してすぐに帰ってしまう。
採取された髪の毛のDNAが滑川のものと一致したと、樫村に報告する修平。再度滑川の取調べををする修平だったが、覚えていないと供述する。
豪太を呼び出した修平は、豪太のせいで滑川が供述を変えたのではないかと責める。悪い奴を捕まえるのに立場が上も下もあるかと言う豪太。
その場でみなみを呼び捨てにする豪太を不審に思った修平が訪ねると、みなみは妹だと言い、修平を怒鳴りつけて帰るのだった。
みなみが家に帰ると、落ち込む豪太がいた。修平も悩んでいると言うみなみ。
みなみと行きつけのOKAZU－YAに行った豪太は、そこで修平とも会う。窃盗罪及び住居侵入罪で起訴すると言う修平。
住居に侵入したことは物証があるものの、突き飛ばしたことの物証は得られていないことや、突き飛ばしたことと亡くなったことの因果関係は立証できないことから立件はできないと考えたのだった。

「ケイジとケンジ」1話の感想
豪太を演じる桐谷健太さんのキャラクターの一人勝ち、という印象でした。ただでさえ濃いキャラクターですが、それに桐谷健太さんがハマっていて、際立っていたと思います。
修平やみなみとのやり取りもテンポがよくて、あっという間の1時間でした。
