刑事Uの告白が始まる。
碓氷薫が会社のデスクに向かっていると着信がかかってくる。
薫は「どうした？うん、まだ仕事が残ってて。このところずっと遅くてごめんね。今、とても大事な仕事していて、ママにとって、ううん。私たちにとって絶対に解決しないといけない事件なの。
でももうすぐ終わる。明日には、きっと。もし明日になってもママが戻らなかったら南武さんに連絡して。…ごめんごめん、心配するよね。大丈夫。ちゃんと戻るから。
戻ったら、克喜の好きなヒーロー…なんだっけ。うん、ガルムフェニックスのグッズ集めよう。だから、待ってて。ありがとう。暖かくして寝るんだよ。おやすみ。」と話し、電話を切る。
薫はスマホを見つめながら「ごめんね。さよなら…」と呟くのだった。
薫はパソコンを開き、撮影を始める。
「克喜。あなたがこの動画を気付くことはないかもしれない。でもここに、あなたへのメッセージを残します。」と話し始める。
場面が変わり、克喜は咲良は二人でこの動画を見ていた。
薫は「克喜。気付いてくれてありがとう。あなたに預かって欲しいものがあるの。この中に10億円強奪事件の全てが記されている。」とUSBを掲げながら話す。
ここから本編では描かれなかった、薫が克喜に宛てたメッセージの全文が薫の【告白】によって告げられる。
以下、『』は薫が克喜に宛てた動画で話している言葉である。
薫が戦うことを決めたきっかけは、親友の死。
『お母さんには、大切な友達がいた。その人がある日、危険を冒しても戦うって私に伝えたの。』
薫は星良から「実はさ、警察のあるプロジェクトに参加することにしたの。詳しくは話せないんだけど、近いうちになんらかの形で公にするつもり。もしかしたら危険な目に遭うかもしれない。ごめん。でも、決めたの。戦うって。」と告げられた時のことを思い出していた。
『あの時は、それがなんなのかよくわからなかった。それから間もなくしてその友達は命を失った。大切な友達が得体の知れない何かによって命を失い、その真実が隠されようとしている。そんなおかしなことこのままで終わらせるわけにはいかない。そう思って戦うことを決めたの。そして長い時間をかけようやく、友達の命を奪った何かの正体をつかむことができた。悲しいことに、そこには私の良く知る人物も関わっていた。』
薫が掴んだ【正体】とはニッポンノワールであり、【よく知る人物】とは薫の父であり、克喜の祖父・政明だ。
『そこでは、決して許されてはいけないあるプロジェクトが行われていた。絶対に許すことのできない。』
ニッポンノワールが行っていたのは、人格矯正プログラムや肉体改造プログラムだ。
『私の友達はその事実を公表しようとして、命を奪われることになってしまった。私はようやくそこまで辿り着いた。そして、別の事実も知ることになった。』
それは克喜が人格矯正プログラムを受けていたことであり、克喜は愛する母親との関係をやり直したいからと自ら政明に申し出たという驚きの真実だった。
薫は克喜の母として誇れる生き方をするために戦うことに決めた
『お母さんは、皆が見えていなかった世界を知ってしまった。皆に知られない様ふたをされていた真実に辿りついてしまった。だから、もう一度、戦うことに決めたの。知ってしまった真実に。見て見ぬふりをしないよう。あなたのお母さんとして誇れる生き方をするために。あなたや他の未来ある全ての人が笑顔でいられる世界を造ることに。』
そこから薫は十億円強奪事件を計画するのだが、強盗団が何者かに殺されてしまった。
薫は唯一計画を話していた才門を疑い、「あなたはニッポンノワール側の人間なんでしょ？」と問いかける。
才門が「知ってたのか。」と答えると、「今回の計画はあなたしかしらない。裏切ったのね。」と薫は告げる。
才門は「俺は何も言ってない。組織はお前の計画に気付いていた。下調べの段階で気付いたんだろ。お前が相手にしてるのはそういう組織なんだよ。」と告げる。
すると薫は「それなら私が犠牲になる。私が死ぬことで、警察全体にニッポンノワールを暴かせる。遊佐清春に私を殺した容疑で逃げてもらう。警察全体が彼を容疑者として追えば、ニッポンノワールも手出しできない。新薬も彼に託す。もう決めたことなの。どんなことになってもニッポンノワールの実態を暴くって。」と力強く才門に告げるのだった。
「奴らを甘くみるな。」と告げる才門に、薫は「これは星良の願いなの。」と答えると、才門は「違う！星良はお前の犬死になんて望んじゃいない。頼む薫。やめてくれ。」と懇願するのだが、薫の意志は固かった。
その後、薫は清春に「私に一人息子がいることは知ってるわよね。克喜はあなたの子供よ。」と打ち明ける。
清春は「なんのどっきりだか知らねえが。」と言うのだが、薫は「私だって冗談だと思いたかった。でも、紛れもない事実よ。」と告げて、清春にDNA鑑定結果を見せる。
薫は「10年前、当時警察学校の生徒だったあなたは講師である私を相談と称してホテルのラウンジに誘った。…やっと思い出した？一夜限りの関係。あなたにとってはそうだったかもしれない。でも私にとっては違った。今日までいろんな思いを抱えて生きてきた。」と話す。
そして事件の日。
薫は清春に「これから会えない？」と電話を掛けたのだった。
薫から克喜へ最後のメッセージ
『そろそろいかないと。克喜、お母さん。謝らないといけない。さっき電話でちゃんと戻るって約束したよね。でもきっと、お母さんは戻れない。本当に、ごめんなさい。傍にいてあげられないけど、しっかりね。
ご飯を食べる時はジュースを控えて。ガルムフェニックスの動画は宿題が終わってから。それからトイレットペーパーは使い過ぎるとトイレが詰まるから…どうでもいっか。ねえ克喜。私と過ごした時間は、克喜は幸せな時間はあったかたな。私にとっては、全てがかけがえのない時間でした。
克喜がご飯を美味しいって食べてくれると暖かい気持ちになった。朝、仕事に行く前に玄関まで見送りに来てくれた時、頑張ろうって思えた。仕事でどんなに疲れて帰って来てもあなたの寝顔を見ただけで幸せを感じた。
だから、そんなあなたの、あなたたちの未来を守らなくてはいけないって思った。克喜、産まれてきてくれてありがとう。今、心からそう思います。私は、私の人生は間違いなく幸せだった。だって、命をかけてでも守りたいと思えるあなたがいるんだから。じゃあね、克喜。行ってきます。』
薫はパソコンを閉じ、涙を拭いた後、静かに立ち上がり外へと向かうのだった。
10月11日
緑ヶ瀬山にて碓氷薫 死亡。
ここから、全ての反乱は始まった。

克喜に宛てた言葉一つ一つから、薫がいかに克喜を愛しているかが伝わってきました。
特にラストの「産まれてきてくれてありがとう。今、心からそう思います。」という一文が心に響き渡りました。
薫は克喜のために、そして未来ある子供達のために自分の命を犠牲にしてニッポンノワールという強大な闇組織の存在を世間に明るみにしたので、薫の信念や行動力は本当にすごいと思います。
しかし薫が生きたまま目的を達成することも出来たのではないかなあと思ってしまうので、薫を殺した名越がやっぱりとても憎いです。
薫の告白を聞けて本当に良かったです。
改めて、とても面白いドラマでした！

今、刑事nの告白を観てきた。
勘がいい人なら多分気がついてる伏線の回収みたいな内容だったけど、ラストの字幕がちょっと気になるって言うか、清春の死に結びつくのかもって感じ
