12月15日21時32分。
名越は沙羅に電話をし「山小屋！？先輩そこに向かったんですか！？それなら沙羅さんも行きましょうよ！克喜くんも！だって先輩のこと心配じゃないですか！30分程で迎えに行くんで！はい、はい、じゃあお願いしま～す！」と告げて、電話を切る。
その後、部屋をうろうろする名越。
そしてカメラ目線で「ついに来ちゃったよこの日が！この壮大な物語もついにエンディングを迎えることになりました！先輩、俺がガスマスクの男って気付いてるかな～。え、いつまでこのキャラをやるのかって？このキャラの方が馴染みがあるでしょ？俺もそこそこ愛着あるし！パーリーピーポー！…なあんて、これからの人生もう言うことないだろうし。あ、皆どのタイミングで俺が犯人って気付いてた？え、最初から？またまた～！先輩だって気付いてなかったのに！」と名越はおどける。
山小屋で名越が清春を殺そうとした時、「俺は薫さんを愛してた！あんたをぱくっても俺の怒りは収まらないから殺すことにした！」と叫んでいたが、これについて名越は「愛してたからその復讐で殺すっていうのは流石に強引だったかなって思うけど、あの時は完膚なきまでにやられたよなあ。あ、あとで先輩に言うつもりだけど結構手加減してたから。俺あの時すでに覚醒してたから。ま、そのおかげで先輩の家に転がり込むことができたんだけど。」と告げる。
清春を殺せという派と生かせという派で二分化していたニッポンノワール
清春の懐に入り込んだのは全て才門の指示だったという。あの時は才門がニッポンノワールでの名越の上司だったのだ。
その後も名越は清春と仲良く捜査する振りをしてて、耳よりな情報があれば才門にパスしていたのだという。
実はこの時、ニッポンノワールは清春を生かすか殺すかで揉めていたのだ。
清春はアルティメットプログラムを受けていたので、覚醒する前に殺せという派と、新薬を手に入れるために捕獲しろという派に別れていた。才門と名越は後者のため、清春を十億円強奪事件と碓氷薫殺害の犯人に仕立てあげて、捕獲しようと奔走したのだ。
しかし薫が十億円強奪事件の真相が全て入ったUSBを残してしまったため、面倒な証拠隠滅の手間が増えたのだ。
清春が捜査会議で薫が残した映像を流そうとした際に映像を差し替えたのももちろん名越の仕業だ。
また、清春たちも真実へと良い線をついてきたため、方向転換して清春を強引に捕獲することにしたのだという。
まずは薫の携帯を開き、南武課長に容疑を向けさせた。しかし名越が薫のパスワードを難なく突破したことによって清春に不信感を抱かせてしまったのだった。
名越が才門を殺すことを決める！
才門が江國を操り、遊園地で南武を追いつめようとした時は、江國が裏切ったため、名越が直接手を下すことに。
ちなみにこの時のガスマスクの音声は、今までは才門は敬語で話していたのに名越がうっかりため語で喋ってしまったというミスがあった。
そしてなんとか清春を捕まえることに成功しこれで終わりかと思ったところに才門が「そいつ殺すつもり？俺に預からせてくれないか。」と言ってきたため、「ギャグならテンション高めでお願いしますよ。」と名越は無表情で告げる。
才門は「心配するな。組織はこいつから新薬のありかを聞き出したいんだろ。だったら俺に任せろ。」と告げたため、名越はしぶしぶ清春を才門に渡すことに。
この頃から名越は才門をきな臭いと思っていたのだが、才門は名越の上司のため、その後も健気に才門の指示に従っていたのだ。
清春にあらたな容疑をふっかけたり、清春の記憶の断片を甦らせるようにフラッシュ画像を見せたりして、清春が記憶を失ってる間に捕獲するはずだったのだが、才門が裏切って清春を連れ去ったため名越は怒り心頭だったという。
そのため才門を殺すと決意したのだ。
才門と清春が警察病院の地下に向かっていることを知り、名越は先回りして二人を待ち構えた。
そして才門をぼこぼこにし、裏切り者を葬った…はずだった。
才門は生きていたのだ。
名越にも暗示をかけていたため、死んだと思わせることに成功したのだ。
名越はまだ生きている。
それともう一つ誤算があった。この警察病院で右肩を負傷したため、拳銃を逆の手で構えることしかできなかったのだ。この時の名越を清春はばっちり見ていたため、確実に清春にはガスマスクの男が名越だということがバレていたはずだ。
そして名越は手を打つために、薫の父にガスマスクの男一体発注し、清春と名越が一緒にいる時にガスマスクの男を登場させてもらった。後で知ったことだが、この時のガスマスク男は才門だったのだ。
清春がガスマスク男に向かって「誰だお前。陣内か？」と問いかけた時、思わず名越は「違う。奴はこんなに強くない。」と知らないはずの陣内のことを口走ってしまったのだ。
自分の知らないところで才門と薫の父が手を組んでいたことを知り、イライラが募った名越は「いっそのこと新薬を手にして組織を牛耳ってしまおう。なぜなら俺はアルティメットプログラムの成功者だから！」と思い立ったのだった。
そして薫の父と陣内を殺し、全て思い出した清春と南武のやり取りを聞き「新薬は山小屋にある」ということを知ったのだ。
念のため沙羅と克喜も人質として山小屋に連れていくことに決めた。
名越は「これで俺が新薬を手にいれて唯一無二の存在になる！ついに来ちゃったこの日が～！ははは！これが俺の三ヶ月の全て。どう？君の予想当たってた？…でもさあ疑問に思わない？なんでさっさと行かないんだろうって。なんでこんなこと告白するんだろうって。今、全部聞いたよね？全てを知った君は俺のターゲットってことだから。…よし。じゃあ行こう！！」と告げ、上機嫌に外へと向かうのだった。
12月15日23時15分。
刑事Nは、覚醒を迎えた刑事Yにその理念を砕かれ、捜査一課長の手によって拘束されることになった。
だが…彼はまだ、生きている。

・名越は初めは才門の忠実な部下だった。
・しかし才門が裏切って清春を連れ去ったために才門を殺すことを決意。

・組織への不満が溜まった名越は次第に新薬を手にいれて組織を牛耳ることを思いつく。
・清春にボコられ捜査一課長に逮捕されるものの、名越はまだ、生きている。

終始テンション高いいつものキャラで喋っていましたが、時折見せる【素】の冷酷な名越が怖かったですね。
名越は割と終盤まで才門の指示を忠実に聞いていたのですね。しかし才門が裏切って清春を連れて逃走してしまった時から名越のイライラは爆発し、才門を殺して（殺せてなかったけど）、ついには自分で組織を牛耳ろうという考えになったのですね。
こいういう部分は本編では分からなかったので、もやっとしていたものが晴れました。
最終話では名越本当くそだなと思っていましたが、今回の特別編を見て、くそなことには変わりはありませんが、名越のキャラは好きだったなあ～ということを思い出しました。
来週の薫の告白も楽しみです！

衣装や小道具一つ取っても伏線だったとは驚き……名越自体、わざわざカメラに向かって告白すること自体に意味を持たせるのが凄いし恐怖も増す。
これ見て最終回のエンディングムービーの意味も変わってくるかもやはり武藤さんの脚本は凄い#ニッポンノワール
