サクラの病室に黒川がいる。
黒川は4年前のことを後悔していた……。
2015年11月。
サクラが花村建設に入社して7年目、まだ子会社にいるサクラだったが、地元の島に橋がかかることになり喜んでいた。
だが、なぜか祖父の柊作から「橋はかからない」「おまえの夢はかなわない」とFAXが来る夢を連日見て不安に思うのだった。
ある日、黒川から電話があり、故郷の島にかかる橋に問題が起きたため、本社に来るよう呼び出しを受けた。
サクラが本社へ行くと、以前営業部長で現在は土木部部長の桑原がそこにいいた。
橋を建てる際の基礎工事に不安がっている島民に住民の説明会があるので、サクラの口から工事を続けても大丈夫だと伝えてほしいと言われたのだった。
その後、同期のメンバーとリクエスト店に行き、橋の工事について話をしていたが、蓮太郎がやっと一級建築士に受かった報告を受け、みんな喜ぶ。
そして蓮太郎が「実は付き合ってる人がいる」と言われ驚くメンバー。
その時、火野と娘のつくしが登場し、蓮太郎と火野がつきあっていると知り、さらに驚きながらもみんなお祝いムードになった。
家に帰ったサクラは、柊作に橋について安心してほしいこと、島に帰る時は同期のメンバーも一緒だと送ると、柊作から「楽しみにしてる」とFAXが来たのだった。
後日、島に帰ったサクラは喜んで島の住人たちと話し、リラックスした様子に同期のみんなは微笑ましくなる。
写真を撮り楽しむサクラたちだったが、葵が少し元気がないのを百合が気になっていた。
サクラは島の住人に橋のことを心配されるも「大丈夫」と答える。
島のおばさんに柊作の体調が実は思わしくないことを聞き、サクラはそのまま柊作のもとへ駆け出して行った。
柊作の想い
家に帰ったサクラはすぐに「爺ちゃん！」と柊作を呼ぶ。
その時、柊作はサクラの好きなコロッケを作ってた。
サクラは柊作を心配するが、柊作は聞こえないふりをするのだった。
その夜、同期のみんなを家に呼んだサクラは柊作の料理や、島のみんなが持ってきてくれたご馳走を食べる。
柊作はサクラの話で盛り上がる同期たちの話に目を細める。
食後にみんなで星空を眺めていると、流れ星を見て、それぞれお願いをした。
サクラが風呂の用意をしている時、柊作が同期のメンバーに話があると言い、4人に土下座をして「これからもサクラをよろしくお願いします」と頼む。
柊作は病気を患っており、もう治らないのだった。
もし自分が死んだらサクラは天涯孤独になってしまうことを言い、亡くなったサクラの父と母についての話をした。
柊作はサクラだけはなんとしても守ってやると誓っていた。
不器用なサクラが心配で、今の世の中を渡っていけるか気にかかっていたが、今日サクラと同期の仲間が話しているのを見て安心したのだ。
柊作は「あの子とずっと仲間でいてください」と頭を深く下げるのだった。
その後、同期の仲間が帰り、柊作とサクラは布団に入る。
サクラに「いい仲間をもった」と柊作が話し、サクラは柊作にFAXのお礼を言う。
柊作は「お前はわしの誇りだ」と伝え、サクラは「何言ってんの」と言い、そのまま眠りについた。
翌朝、説明会に向かうサクラを葵が呼び止めるのだった。
橋をかけるか、取りやめるか
葵は橋のことで問題を見つけていた。
基礎に注入するコンクリートの強度が弱くなっているのだ。
部長の桑原が予算を削っており、利益を出して出世したいという思惑からの行動ではないかと葵が言う。
サクラが桑原に詰め寄ると、桑原は「国の安全基準を満たしているから」と言い、ここでやめたら橋はかからないと話す。
100％安全ではなが橋をかけるか、工事を取りやめるか、二択にされてサクラはどうしたらいいか分からない。
同期に相談するが、話は白熱するばかりで結局言い争いになってしまう。
サクラが決めるしかないという結論になったが、百合が「お爺ちゃんに相談してみたら」と提案し、サクラはそのまま家へ走り出した。
家についたサクラは柊作に住民説明会について聞こうとしたが「おまえの好きにすればいい」と言われる。
サクラは「私は大人になれんのだろうか」と尋ねると「なる必要はない」と返される。
それを聞いて、サクラは「長生きしてね」と言って説明会の会場へ向かった。
会場の前には百合がいて「決めた？」と聞かれ、サクラは「まだ迷っていて」と答える。
百合はサクラを抱きしめて、サクラの気持ちになって泣き出した。
葵はサクラの生き方を尊敬していると言い「おまえの思ったようにやれ」と話し、応援すると伝えてきた。
菊夫も桑原に何か言われても自分がガツンと言ってやると応援してくれるのだった。
説明会がはじまり、蓮太郎がサクラのところへやってくると火野からの電話をもってきた。
火野は「ひとりで苦しまないでみんなに助けを求めなさい」とサクラに伝えるのだった。
説明会では、住人は桑原の説明には納得いかず、サクラの説明を待つ。
サクラが大丈夫と言うなら信じるという住人の声に、サクラは立ち上がるのだった。
サクラは枯れない
壇上に上がったサクラは、住人を前にしてスーッと息を吸い込む。
7年前に花村建設に入社し、新人研修で島にかかる橋の模型を作った話をし、嬉しかったことを話す。
サクラの夢はふるさとの島に橋をかけること、一生を通じる仲間をつくること。
ふたつめの夢は叶ったが、最初の夢は叶わない。
ふるさとの島に橋をかけてはいけない、100％安全といえない橋をかけて誰かが命を落とすことになるかもしれない橋をかけられない。
島民に頭を下げてサクラは泣き出すのだった。
結局、説明会はそのまま終わり、桑原に「このまま会社にもいられなくなる」と言われるサクラに菊夫が「これ以上やめてください」と遮るのだった。
サクラは家に帰ると、柊作が倒れていて、冷たくなっていた。
爺ちゃん！と何度も呼びながら、サクラは柊作の死を受け入れられないのだった。
その後、柊作の葬儀を終えたサクラは、仏壇の引き出しにサクラからの手つかずの仕送りを見つける。
東京に戻ったサクラは同期たちと撮った島での写真を見ていたが、ふとFAXが届いているのに気付いた。
「サクラは枯れない」「たとえ散っても」「必ずたくさんの人を幸せにする」
サクラはもういない柊作に「会いたい」「コロッケが食べたい」とFAXするが、返事はなく、そのまま泣きながら暴れ、部屋中の物を荒らすのだった。
それから4年後の2019年。
黒川はサクラの病室で「解雇通知書」を枕元へ置く。
サクラは1年以上ずっと出社していなかったのだ。
ふたたび2015年、荒らした部屋のなかで座るサクラは、心配してきた百合をよそに「仕事に行かなければ」と立ち上がるのだった。

・悩んだ結果、サクラは正直に言い、夢だった橋の建設は敗れる
・家に帰ったサクラは柊作が冷たくなっているのを発見するのだった
「同期のサクラ」7話の感想
橋がかかるかと喜んだものの、第2回に大活躍だったパワハラ上司桑原のせいで安全な橋を建てることができなくなったことを知り、ずっと楽しみにしていた夢を自分でつぶすことになったサクラ。
7話は、百合がサクラを抱きしめて「どうしてサクラばっかり」と泣いた気持ちにめちゃめちゃ共感してしまうほど、サクラにとってしんどいお話でした。
夢だった橋はかからず、大好きで心の支えだった爺ちゃんが亡くなり、心が折れてしまったサクラ……。
これから……どうなるんでしょう……。
最後「仕事に行かなければ」と言ってましたが、4年後の黒川が「1年以上も出社していない」と解雇通知書を持ってきていました。
ということは、まだ波乱はあるということなんでしょうか。
気になって仕方がないんですが、それと同じく気になったのが蓮太郎と火野さんがいつの間にか恋人になっていたことですね。
いつの間に！！
そして蓮太郎、一級建築士合格おめでとうございます！
前々回で受かったと勝手に思い込んでいましたが、あれは受験した話だったみたいで、勘違いしてました。
7年目で悲願の合格ですね！恋人もできたし蓮太郎に春がきてる！
さて来週は8年目ですが、サクラはどうなるのでしょう。

といっても、そのクールで1番楽しみになるレベルかな。でも同期のサクラが今クールで今1番好き。（朝ドラは別枠）天空不動産と牧くんへのハマり具合は自分でもステータス異常レベルなので、20年に一度の事象です。20年前にハマったのは踊る大捜査線と織田裕二です。
