なつは東洋動画で働く大沢に敵視されるも、なつの才能と情熱を認められ受け入れられる。
天陽は帯広の展覧会で賞を取る。両親になつのことは諦めろ、と言われ複雑な心情になる。なつの、”私はここで生きていく”という手紙を読んで天陽は涙した。
なつは仲の推薦の元、再びアニメーターの試験を受けるが不合格。諦めずに勉強を続けている。
照男が砂良にプロポーズし、砂良はそれを受け入れた。

レミ子に閃く咲太郎
前回、仲に「動画の試験を受けみないか？」と誘われたなつ。亜矢美の店で、咲太郎たち試験を受けることを嬉しそうに報告する。
昨日、亀山蘭子の声入れ見学していた咲太郎は「俳優でも声優できるんだよなあ。」とつぶやく。
そこに、レミ子が現れ、新劇をやりたから咲太郎の劇団に入りたい、という。
咲太郎はそれを受け入れると、閃いたように「そうだ！レミ子でもいけるんだよ漫画映画！レミ子でも絶世の美女になれるんだよ！」と叫んだ。
なつ試験を受ける
なつは勉強の末、再び試験を受ける。
合格発表の時。井戸原は言う。「君にアニメーターとしての可能性があることは、誰もが認めざるを得ない。」
なつは試験に合格した。なつは呆然としていた。仲が言うには大沢がなつの絵を推していたという。
なつは大沢に会いに行き「ありがとうございます。これからお世話になります！」と頭を下げた。
大沢は少し笑って「良かったわね。頑張んなさいよ。」と言った。アニメーターのみんなは拍手で出迎えた。
なつは祖父の泰樹に手紙を出した。
”じいちゃん。じいちゃんに今度会う時までに、この道をしっかり歩ける人になっていたいです。じいちゃんはいつでも私の一番の誇りです”
咲太郎が興味を持った
川村屋を訪れるなつと咲太郎。咲太郎は光子に借金を返す。これで返済完了だ。
なつはアニメーターになれたことを報告すると光子は喜んで讃えた。
二人は川村屋のテレビで流れていたアメリカのテレビ映画に目を奪われる。今で言う、日本語吹替版の海外映画だ。
咲太郎は感心して言った。
「日本の役者が喋ってるのか。面白いなあ。」

気になるのは、咲太郎が声優の仕事に興味津々だったことです。
咲太郎はこれから、声優の道を目指して行くのではないでしょうか。なつが絵を描き、咲太郎が声を入れる。兄妹が共に関わったアニメ作品が作られそうですね。

『なつぞら』なつが預けられた柴田家は群を抜いて成功してる酪農家だっていうのは、十勝編でかなり丁寧に描かれてた。戸村親子ふたりを雇える位だし、剛男さんが農協勤務だから月給もあるよね。なつの仕送りなくて大丈夫。対して天陽君ちは零細。東京のなつに会いたくても、たぶん交通費捻り出せない。

たしか昨日の #なつぞら で、なつはきれいな線で動画を描く練習を続けました、と言ってるシーンがあったけど、クリーアップという作業を知って見ると、#かぐや姫の物語(#高畑勲)が画期的だった、というのがよくわかる気がする。
