カレー屋の警護
商店街でカレー屋をしている佐久間華絵から、警護の依頼を受けた島崎。早速高梨と一緒に店に出向くと、店の入り口には嫌がらせの張り紙が。
華絵は夫と一緒に40年間も店を経営してきたが、大家が亡くなってしまう。大家の息子の充が相続したものの、突然立ち退くように言われたのだった。
裁判まで起こされしつこく嫌がらせを受けたことで、夫は心臓発作で亡くなってしまったと言う華絵。
話を聞いている最中に、ガラの悪い男たちが集まってきて出て行くように叫ぶ。その中に充もいて、警察の厄介にもなったことがあるらしいと話す。
華絵から「主人が命をかけて守ろうとした店を護って欲しい」と頼まれた島崎。店の外で叫びながら再び張り紙をする様子をスマホで撮影し始める。
すると、怒って止める充だったが、裁判所の通告を見せ、出て行ってもらうと断言するのだった。
店に立てこもる華絵
夫の葬儀の際のことを思い出していた多佳子は、先日島崎を襲った男が葬儀にも来ていたことに気づく。
翌朝、多佳子は島崎の家を訪ねて来る。襲撃してきた男が葬儀に来ていたことを島崎に報告する多佳子。
そこに、高梨から電話が来て、カレー屋に急ぐ島崎。店の前には、充やガラの悪い連中とともに代理人である弁護士までも来て立ち退きの断行日だと主張していた。
島崎が店に入ると、華絵は「ここから一歩も出ない」と言い電動シャッターを下ろし、立てこもる。
大きな声で立ち退くように騒いでいると、近所からの通報で警察がやってくる。仕方なく島崎が外に出て話し合いの場を持つように頼むが、聞く耳を持たない。
そこに噂を聞きつけたマスコミまでもが集まってくる。
華絵の目的とは？
記者の懇親会で桑田の警護をしていたまゆや沢口は、襲撃事件の男を見かけて劉に報告する。だが劉は、気にしなくていいと取り合わない。
会が終了して参加者が帰っていく際、男が桑田に近寄ってくる。金で情報を得たんじゃないかと詰め寄る男に、桑田は人払いをして話をしようとする。
充や弁護士に対して取材するマスコミたちだったが、反論する充に帰るように指示する弁護士。
店の中の様子を見た島崎は、店をやめることは受け入れていて騒ぎを起こすことが目的なのではないかと尋ねる。
華絵が話そうとすると、充たちが裏口から入ってくる。充が小さな頃に写した写真を見せながら、40年間苦労してやってきたのだと話す華絵。
他の店の人達の苦労も分かって欲しいだけなのだと言う華絵だったが、充は華絵が弁護士事務所を訪れていたことを指摘する。
そこで弁護士から、立退料をたくさん払わせるためにはごねるのがいいと教えてもらったのだろうと言う充。
カレーを護る島崎
店内のテーブルや備品を壊し始める充たち。華絵を護るために男たちを止める島崎と高梨だったが、華絵は泣きながら「もうやめて」と言う。
華絵は今日中に立ち退くことを約束すると、仕方なく出て行くのだった。
その後、華絵に新しい店で始めることができると言う島崎。すると、カレーを作り始めた華絵は、島崎と高梨に食べるようにすすめる。
任務中は食事をとることはできないと断る島崎だったが、高梨は席について食べようとする。頑なに食べようとしない島崎に高梨が文句を言うと、諦めたように席に着き食べ始めるのだった。
久しぶりにカレーを作ったことでまた頑張ろうという気になれたと話し、島崎たちにお礼を言う華絵。
一方、男と話をしていた桑田の部屋から物音がして入ると、倒れている桑田を見つけたまゆ。男は逃走していき追って行くと、劉から桑田を消すように頼まれたと言い逃げて行く。
その後、まゆの証言で警察が劉の元を訪れるものの、反撃して逃走してしまう。
病院の多佳子を訪ねた島崎は、男の正体を調べたことを聞かされる。男は加藤一馬という名前で、警護課の警察官だったが3年前に不祥事で辞めたのだった。
沢口から劉の話を聞いている最中に劉から電話が来て、警護を頼みたいと言われる。高梨は依頼を受けるなら辞めると言い出て行き、島崎は待ち合わせの場所に向かう。
するとそこに、パトカーで警察が集まってくるのだった。

充の子供の時の写真まで見ながららっきょうの話をしていたので、もう少し充と分かり合える展開があるのかと期待しましたが、結局立ち退くことになってしまいました。
最後に劉を警護するという展開が待っていたとは思いませんでした。意見の相違で出て行ってしまった高梨ですが、最後には助けにくるのではないかと期待したいです。
