帰ってきた東海林
営業事業部の営業一課・課長として本社に戻った東海林は、北海道で痩せると評判のお菓子「黒豆ビスコッティ」を全国展開しようとしていた。
雑誌・おやつ倶楽部の取材を受けた東海林は、ダイエット効果について栄養学の教授からもお墨付きを受けていることを説明。そのデータも記者に見せると、特集を組みたいとの話を取り付ける。
後日、発売されたおやつ倶楽部で、有名な食品ライターの麦田に「黒豆ビスコッティ」を食べて痩せるどころか太ったと書かれてしまう。
さらにそのことがSNS上でも取り上げられて、その噂はあっという間に広がっていた。
北海道で、100人の女性にアンケートを取って痩せたとの評価を得ていたものの、そのアンケートを取った部下に連絡しようとすると、急に辞めたと言われてしまう。
データの改ざん
里中は、検査分析士の資格を持つ春子に検査を依頼する。すると、ダイエット効果があるというシアニジンの数値を調べると、書かれていたデータの10分の1しかなかった。
データを出した教授の元を訪れると、辞めた部下が何度もすすきののキャバクラに連れて行ってくれたため、数字を盛ったと白状する。
データの改ざんが行われていたことが判明し、宮部からも責められる東海林。後日謝罪会見をすることになるのだった。
100人のアンケートは、本当に取ったと主張する東海林だったが、宇野が疑わしい物は処分した方がいいと言い、シュレッダーにかけられてしまう。
捨てられたアンケート
部に戻って、アンケートが破棄されたことを知った里中は、宮部に対して憤りを感じる。そんな中、北海道から「黒豆ビスコッティ」の工場の社長が娘と一緒に東海林を訪ねてくる。
このままだと、工場がつぶれてしまうと心配する社長。だが、東海林に会い、東海林の立場まで心配するのだった。
その様子を見ていた春子は定時にもかかわらず会社に戻り、ゴミ置き場に行きシュレッダーにかけられたアンケートを探す。
里中とともにアンケートを回収した春子は、ジグソーパズル検定1級だと言い、復活させようとする。そこに浅野も戻ってきて、何か手伝わせて欲しいと言う。
里中と浅野に指示を出しながら、紙切れを色ごとに分類して行く春子たち。ボードの上で丁寧に一片ずつつなげていき、朝までに再生させるのだった。
謝罪会見
謝罪会見の時間になり、マスコミの前でまずは謝罪する東海林たち。データの改ざんについて追及され、100人のアンケートについても嘘ではないかと言われ、見せるように言われる。
ハケン社員が間違ってシュレッダーにかけてしまったと言い訳をする宇野だったが、立ち上がった東海林は「黒豆ビスコッティは痩せません」と認めてしまう。
データが改ざんされたことや、そのデータを鵜呑みにしてしまったと言い、その場は騒然となる。
そんな中、再生されたアンケートを目にした東海林は「黒豆ビスコッティ」は本当にいい商品なのだと弁解しながらアンケートを見せるものの、貼り合わせた紙を見た記者たちは信用できないと言う。
そこに春子が来て紙を渡し、アンケートを書いたモニターが今も「黒豆ビスコッティ」を食べ続けていることをオンラインで伝えてくれる。
痩せないけれど美味しく、食べると一日頑張れるとの意見を寄せるモニターたち。それを見た記者たちは、PRしたいだけだと非難。
だがその後「黒豆ビスコッティ」の注文が殺到し、宮部によって工場も拡大して貰えることになるのだった。

大泉洋さん扮する東海林が戻ってきて、かつての春子との掛け合いが復活。以前と変わらないやり取りを見ていると、やはりこの2人が居ないと！と思わされます。
戻ってきて早々、不祥事を起こして春子に助けられた東海林ですが、今後も春子の助けを借りることになりそうです。
シュレッダーにかけられたものを繋げる作業は、さすがに凄かったです。
