幻覚に怯えるエマ
クラブでホステスをしているエマは、いつも黒い影に怯えていた。
夜、由利のところを訪れ、昔書いた小説のトリックが思い出せないと相談する俊助。誰かに読ませたことがあるのではないかと由利が言うと、同好会の旧友に読ませたことを思い出す。
クラブにいたエマは、同じホステスの美沙子が血まみれになっている幻覚を見る。そんなエマを心配する恋人の五月。
だが、美沙子はエマに冷たくあたり、予知夢だと脅す。美沙子は五月の元恋人でもあった。
クラブのママ・絹江が、エマにドラマに出演させたいというイギリス人を紹介する。翌日、オーディションに出かけたエマは、車の中で行先は極秘だからとアイマスクをするように指示される。
到着した場所は古い洋館で、着いたとたんに黒い影を見て気絶したエマ。目覚めると、暖炉で燃やされる美沙子のタトゥーの入った腕を見て驚く。
その直後、バスタブに入った片腕のない美沙子の死体を見つけるのだった。
美沙子の遺体が見つかる
旧友の井出と一緒にいた俊助は、ベンチで寝ているエマに気づいて声をかける。井出はクラブの会員で、父親は実業家。
エマは俊助たちに美沙子の死体を見たと言い、それが幻であることも話す。
井出の部屋でエマの話を聞いた俊助は、由利に連絡。遺体があった場所などを尋ね、車の中で見た景色をヒントに道を辿って行く。
そして一軒の洋館に辿り着いた由利たちが中に入ると、遺体は見つからなかった。
クラブに行ったエマは美沙子の遺体を見たことを絹江に話すが、店を辞めると言いに今日来たことを告げる。
井出のところに行こうとした俊助はエマと遭遇するが、由利から呼び出しがかかって途中で別れる。
洋館では、バスタブに入った美沙子の遺体が見つかって等々力たちが捜査していた。前日の防犯カメラの映像から、由利たちが洋館を訪れたことを突き止めていたのだった。
逃走する五月
事情聴取を受けるエマや絹江、五月たち。絹江が紹介した外国人は見つからず、由利たちも嫌疑をかけられる。
その後、トイレに行くと言い警官を殴って逃げ出した五月。一気に五月の疑いが濃くなり、由利たちは釈放されるのだった。
翌日、五月から連絡を受けたエマはコッソリ抜け出して五月と合流。そこにエマが居なくなったと連絡を受けた由利や俊助が現れるが、警察も駆けつけたため、別々に逃げてしまう。
五月の乗った車が洋館に向かっていると等々力から連絡を受けた由利たち。だが由利は俊助に、井出が向かったのは別の場所だと言い、古い映画の記事を見せる。
「魔の家」というその映画は2日間だけ上映されたものの、作品中の殺人シーンに本当の死体が使われているとの噂が出たためだった。その映画を作ったのは井出の父親で、井出はその映画を再現しようとしていると言う由利。
その頃、エマは井出によって拘束されていて、バスタブには気を失った絹江が。井出は、これまでエマをずっと見ているために同じマンションに住んで見張っていたと打ち明ける。
その後、チェーンソーを手にした井出は、バスタブの中の絹江の遺体を切断しようと近づく。
井出と対峙する由利
井出の居場所に向かう由利たちだったが、犯行の様子がライブ配信され始める。
一方、洋館に入った等々力は、バスタブの前で胸を刺されて死んでいるのを発見。男を確保するが、何者かに頼まれて殺しただけだと言う。
映画の撮影が行われた井出レンズの9番倉庫に入った由利は、そこでマネキンなどの小道具を見つける。さらに、映像で人影などを映し出す仕掛けや、エマの部屋に隠されたカメラの映像も見つける。
マンション自体が井出レンズの持ち物であり、マスターキーを使って細工をし、エマに幻覚を見せていたのだった。
奥の扉を開けると、そこにはチェーンソーを持った井出の姿が。止めようとする由利に、エマをヒロインにして父親の作品を超えるものを作ろうとした思いを語る井出。
エマと接した俊助に対しても嫉妬していたことを話しながら向かってくる井出。由利と俊助の連携によって、井出を確保するのだった。

「探偵・由利麟太郎」2話の感想
ホラー要素がかなり濃いめで、グロテスクな映像も本格的でした。エマを演じた水上京香さんの怖がる演技もリアルだったので、さらに怖さがアップ。
ラストの犯人のサイコチックな動機や犯行などは、見終わった後も余韻が残る感じでした。原作がシッカリしたミステリーなのもあるでしょうが、映像も全体的にレトロで暗めなのが効果的なのだと思います。
