救急車で運ばれる桑野
事務所で結婚生活の良さを主張する英治でしたが、お腹の痛みを訴える桑野。救急車で良雄の病院に運ばれ、急性胃腸炎だと診断される。
入院する桑野の元に、まどかや有希江、早紀がお見舞いに来る。いつもと違って素直な様子に驚く早紀たち。
夜、桜子も加わり早紀の部屋で、桑野の話で盛り上がる。桑野にはいいところもあると言う有希江は、まどかが桑野に厳しすぎると言う。
まどかが帰る際、退院した桑野とすれ違う。実家の母が送ってきた黒丹茶を桑野に渡すまどか。
良雄にもらった映画のチケットがあると、まどかを誘う桑野。映画の内容についてレクチャーすると言う桑野に、もっと気楽に観たいと言うまどか。
自分と行きたくないならいいと、チケットを取り上げてしまう。結局いつものように言い合いになる2人だった。
役作りに悩む早紀
舞台の稽古をする早紀だったが、脚本の内容が分かっていないとダメ出しされてしまう。キャストの気持ちが分からず、頭を悩ます。
有希江の店で、桑野とケンカしたことを話すまどか。早紀や有希江には優しくするのは好意があるからだと言う。
自分には冷たいと言うまどかに、好きな子をいじめる心理で言葉と感情が違うのだと指摘する早紀。
今度やる舞台でも、言葉と感情が裏腹な男女を演じると言い、有希江たちを誘うのだった。
桑野のシンポジウムでの講演を聞いた木村という男性が、1人暮らし用の家を設計して欲しいと、桜子に連れられてやってくる。
1人で快適に暮らせる家を、ぜひ桑野に作って欲しいと言う木村だった。
打ち合わせがあることを忘れていて、早紀の舞台に行けなくなってしまうまどか。香織が友達に都合を聞いてみるが、行けないと言う。
そこに桑野が訪ねて来て、舞台のことに気づく。早紀が桑野には来てほしくないと言っていたのを思い出し、それとなく止めたものの、結局行く気になってしまう桑野だった。
桑野とデートする有希江
有希江と2人で早紀の舞台に行く桑野。
観客が満員だと聞き覗きに行った早紀は、有希江と一緒に入ってくる桑野に気づいてしまう。舞台が始まる前、演劇について語る桑野。
舞台が始まり、観客の笑いを誘う中演技をする早紀だったが、観客席の桑野が気になって演技に集中できない早紀。
舞台が終わり早紀に声をかけようとした有希江たちだったが、トイレにこもって泣いていて出てこないと言う。斬新な展開でよかったと伝えて欲しいと、花を預ける桑野。
その後もんじゃ焼き屋に立ち寄った桑野と有希江。
もんじゃは作り方次第で味が全く変わるのだと言い、解説しながらもんじゃを作って行く桑野。有希江はその様子を黙って興味深そうに見つめる。
「完璧だ」と言いながら満足そうな顔する桑野だったが、不満そうな顔をする有希江。「違う、これはもんじゃじゃない」と言い、桑野が作った土手を壊す。
有希江が昔から食べているやり方を説明し「桑野さんも食べてみて」と言う。恐る恐る食べてみると、美味しそうな顔をする桑野。
「勉強になります」と言い、素直に言われるがまま食べるのだった。
2人のデートが気になるまどか
仕事帰りに有希江の店に寄ったまどか。桑野と出掛けて大丈夫だったかと聞くが、楽しかったと答える有希江。
また行こうかと言う有希江の話を聞き、桑野と結婚したら全てにうんちくを持ち出すと言うまどかだったが、結婚もしてないのにどうして分かるのかと聞かれる。
そして、人の事を決めつけない方がいいと言い、わざわざ聞きにきたのは桑野のことが気になっているのではないかと指摘する有希江だった。
木村が突然事務所を訪ねてきて、設計をストップして欲しいと言う。離婚した妻から訴えられたと打ち明ける木村。
家の所有権が自分にあると言い、建築の差し止めを要求してきたと説明し、訴状を見せる。そこには弁護士の欄に、まどかの名前があり驚く桑野。
その後、まどかの事務所を訪ね、自分が木村の設計を担当していることを告げ、木村は裁判で争うつもりだということも知らせるのだった。

病院に運ばれて、やけに素直過ぎる桑野がなんだかかわいかったです。逆にいじりたくなるまどかや早紀の気持ちも分かって、面白かったです。
有希江と桑野が凄くいい雰囲気で、ほっこりしました。有希江のようにおおらかな女性の方が、桑野には合っているような気がします。有希江も楽しそうでしたし、このまま進展して欲しいなと思いました。
