満が珈琲専門店の物が入ったダンボールを、リサイクルショップに売ったことを綾子に報告する房枝。喜ぶ綾子だったが、毎朝淹れてくれていたコーヒーもやめさせて、満に無理させていないかと心配する房枝。
昼過ぎに起きてきた満に、規則的な生活をするように促す房枝。キッチンに置いてあるダンボールいっぱいのカボチャについて聞くと、常連の薗田から貰ったと話す。
学校から帰る時、陸に誘われて一緒に帰る春海。彼女が学校を休んだ理由が、陸がポラリスに行ったことが原因で春海に対してヤキモチを妬いているのだと言う。
そんなに嫌なら別れればいいと言う春海に、春海が自分のことを好きだという噂は本当なのかと聞く陸。驚いて否定する春海だったが、また相談に乗って欲しいと言って帰っていくのだった。
光司に相談があると、クラッチに誘われた満。体育祭の時に陸から連絡先を交換して欲しいと言われ、交換したのだと言う。しかも今朝「いいお天気ですね」とメールが来たのだと明かし、どう対応すればいいかと相談する光司。
思い切って陸と仲良くなってみたらどうかとアドバイスする満。ハロウィンのカボチャのマスクをかぶって写真を撮る満と光司。その写真を陸に送ってみたらどうかと言われ、素直に送る光司だった。

翌日、草野球の代打のアルバイトをする満。その帰りに琉球カボチャを売っている八百屋を見かけ、1個2500円で売られていて驚く満。店主に話を聞くと、ネットでは1個3000円で取引されているらしいとも聞き、慌てて帰る満。
帰ると房枝が、カボチャをハロウィンの特別メニューとして出すための準備をしていると綾子から聞かされる。止めようと店に行くと、牧本たちとハロウィンの飾りつけしていた。このタイミングでなぜハロウィンに便乗するのかと、屁理屈を並べたてる満。
満の話を聞いてハロウィンのイベントはやらずに、カボチャ料理だけ出すと言う房枝だったが、それにすらケチをつける。そんな満を見ていた薗田は、自分がカボチャを持ってきたせいだと、持って帰ろうとする。
一度もらったものは返せないと言い出す満に、転売するつもりだろうと指摘する薗田。結局、ハロウィンが終わってから、カボチャの煮つけをサービスで出すと房枝が言い、仕方なく納得したフリをする満だった。

翌日、ドタキャンの埋め合わせで3人で買い物に出かける。途中ガソリンスタンドに立ち寄ると、満を見かけて隠れて様子を見る綾子。満が持ち帰らなかったレシートを回収して確認する綾子。その後も尾行を続けると、花屋にも立ち寄っていた。
満と房枝は、父親の月命日の墓参りに出かけていた。墓地に着き、ガソリンと花代で5000円でいいと言う満に、今度からレシートを貰っておいてと言う房枝。その後、綾子から電話がかかってきて、夕飯を中華を食べに行こうと誘われる。

中華を囲む満たちだったが、機嫌の悪い満に原因を聞くと、昼も中華を食べたのだと言う。墓参りに来なかったことを責める満でしたが、小遣い稼ぎで墓参りに行ってるクセにと言う綾子。ガソリン代と花代で3500円程度なのに、5000円ももらっていると指摘する。
すると満は、花屋まで尾行してきたのに、なぜお墓まで着いてこなかったのかと責め返す。それに対して、お父さんが入院していた時に、1度しかお見舞いに来なかったことを責める綾子。入院する前に満に対して厳しいことを言ってケンカした父親だったが、入院中は綾子に満のことを心配する言葉ばかり聞かされたと漏らす。
そのやり取りを聞いていた房枝が「春海を生んでくれただけで十分だって喜んでたじゃない」と言うと、思い返して涙ぐむ綾子。光司ももらい泣きしながら、そっとハンカチを綾子に渡すのだった。
それを見て満は、炒飯を皿に取った後、酢豚のタレをかけ、父さんが好きだったのはコレだからと食べ始める。すると光司や春海もマネをして食べ始め、泣きながら綾子も食べるのだった。

小遣い稼ぎをする手段を考え出す満ですが、その知恵をもっと真面目に活用すれば仕事に就いても使える才能だと思うのですが、サラリーマンは向いていなさそうですね。
珈琲専門店がなぜ失敗したのかは明らかになっていませんが、改善点を見直した上でもう一度チャレンジすればいいのにと思いました。
綾子と満の間には、お互いに父親のことでの負い目などを引きずっている部分もあるようです。綾子にしてみれば、満ばかり可愛がられているという気持ちもあったのでしょうね。何となく共感できました。
