若宮を実験台に、嘘発見器の実験をしていたところに江藤がやってくる。身元不明の遺体が見つかったと聞き興味を示す獅子雄だったが、つまらない事件だと言う江藤。江藤がつまらないと言う事件は面白そうだと、現場に出向く獅子雄。
現場となった空き家は5年前に21憶の地面師詐欺があった坂東という家で、被害者は自殺しており空き家になっていた。現場を見た獅子雄は、被害者の手の部分に枝が3本落ちていることに気づく。
遺体は頸椎骨折により死亡したとの検死報告を聞いていたところに、小暮が遺体の身元が判明したとやってくる。身元は地面師事件の犯人の一人・吉野だった。そこに捜査二課の刑事がやってくる。遺体を真剣に見ていた市川は、5年前に吉野を逮捕した刑事だった。犯人グループで逮捕できたのは吉野だけで、主犯格の守谷の行方も掴めていなかった。
獅子雄は若宮と一緒に、坂東家の地面師詐欺事件の際、担当していた不動産屋の古田を尋ねる。坂東家の名前を出した途端、もう忘れたいのだと言う。
吉野の携帯の履歴を洗ったところ、細川保奈美という坂東家の家政婦と連絡を取っていたこごが分かる。
古田が13億円の物件の話を持ってきたと、同僚から聞き出した獅子雄。地面師とグルなのではないかと疑う江藤は、その情報を市川に教える。
不動産屋の古田と接触する獅子雄
保奈美の家を尋ねると、吉野が5年前の事件の謝罪に訪れたと言う。それから何度か家に来て、自分の誕生日にはプレゼントをくれたのだと、木彫りの小物入れを見せるのだった。船が彫られていて、昔マグロの船に乗っていて、そこで知り合った人から犯罪に誘われたのだと話していたと言う。
レオに古田を尾行させ、古田の前に現れた獅子雄。5年前の事件で疑われたことを話し、もう忘れたいのだと言う古田。渋谷での大きな取引の話を持ち出し、取引に同行させて欲しいと申し出る獅子雄。
契約を延期したと連絡してくる古田。先輩である丹波に紹介された物件だが、売主に全く迷いがないことを不審に思ったからだと告白する古田に、このまま騙されたフリをすることを提案する獅子雄だった。

古田が契約しようとしている物件を見張る獅子雄たち。家の持ち主は斎藤順子という車いすの女性で、息子と暮らしていた。花屋に扮して古田からの花を届けた獅子雄は、玄関先に落ちていたとミニカーを順子に渡す。「お孫さんのかな？」と言う獅子雄から、ミニカーを笑顔で受け取る順子だった。
レオに市川を尾行させる獅子雄。そこに合流した獅子雄は、市川と話をする。地面師詐欺を捕まえることの難しさを語り、主犯格は姿を見せないため捕まえられず消えてしまうのだと言う市川。
取引当日、古田と合流した獅子雄は一緒に銀行に入って行く。若宮は市川に電話をし、獅子雄が古田の取引に同行していることを知らせる。その頃獅子雄たちは、契約の場にいた。銀行側から契約についての説明が進められ、家主の順子がサインする。
一方、若宮は保奈美の家を尋ね、プレゼントの小物入れを確認させて欲しいと言う。中を開け箱を振ると、何かが入っている音がする。確認すると写真が入っていて、その写真を見て驚く保奈美だった。
取引に同行する獅子雄
契約書類が作成され、振り込みの手続きをするように促される。古田が経理部に電話をしているところで、獅子雄が口を挟む。順子に本当に家を売ってもいいのかと確認する獅子雄。そこに市川が現れる。獅子雄は部屋の中で話を続けていた。
5年前の地面師詐欺のことを話題にする。そこまで言っても契約を早く進めようとする順子だったが、その声を外で聞いていた市川は我慢できず中に入っていく。今日は契約を止めようと言い出す順子に、「偽物ですよね？」と言う獅子雄。
そこに市川が入ってきて、詐欺未遂で逮捕すると順子たちに言う。あとは二課で取り調べると出て行こうとする市川を「待て」と引き留める獅子雄。取り調べられるのはあんただと言う獅子雄に「証拠でもあるの？」と言う市川だったが、吉野が保奈美に渡した小物入れに入っていた写真を見せる。そこには車の中で話をしている市川と丹波が写っていたのだった。
取調べを受ける市川。市川は吉野から丹波と一緒に居る市川の写真を見せ、警察に知らせると言ったため市川が手にかけたのだった。だが吉野はその時まだ生きていた。小枝を折って、モールス信号で「ほ」と残していたのだった。
「守谷のためなら何だってできる」と言いながら、笑う市川だった。

ドラマ「シャーロック」3話の感想
いつも最初の段階である程度犯人の目星をつけている獅子雄。
今回も古田を疑っていると本人に言いながらも、犯人だとは思っていないようでした。吉野の遺体を見ていた時点で、市川に対して不信感を持っていたのだと思います。
推理要素はいつものようにシッカリあったものの、獅子雄と若宮の楽しいやり取りが少なかったことが、少し残念でした。次回はもっとツッコミを入れる若宮を見たいです。
