白骨化された謎の遺体
今回の話は、ある若者たちが空き地で白骨化された遺体を発見したことから始まった。鑑識の桑原の結婚式に出席した桑原と朝顔は、朝顔が結婚式で何を着るかの話題で持ち切りだった。末広がりということで８月8日に入籍することが決まった。
そこへ鑑識から事件の連絡があった。死後1年半から2年経過した白骨化された遺体が発見された。法医学教室で詳しい調査が始まったが、死後からかなり時間が経過しているので、死因はわからないかもしれない。白骨化された遺体は、大人ともう一人、子供らしき遺体の可能性があった。
午後４時25分、「教えて下さい。お願いします」といういつもの朝顔の儀式から解剖が始まった。歯の治療痕から身元を洗い出し、汚れた骨を洗う作業など地道な作業が始まった。警察の捜査で、遺体の発見者は心霊動画掲示板サイトを見て現場で遺体を見つけたことがわかった。警察は、現場周辺の捜索や目撃者探しを始めた。
遺体の足の骨から剥離骨折していることが判明した。骨の一部に動物の骨が含まれていた。謎が深まります。詳しい検査はDNA検査することになった。
心霊動画サイトとの関わり
桑原は平に、朝顔の言葉の由来を尋ねると、朝顔が産まれた瞬間、妻の里子が「朝顔」と決めたらしい。桑原と朝顔は、いつもの同級生の鉄板焼きのお店でデートした。新居も探し中で着々と結婚までの準備が進んでいた。
冷蔵庫には、里子が最後に書き残した食材のメモが貼られていた。平は今でも里子を思い出してしまう。平が里子が書いたメモに向かって「朝顔が結婚する。俺たちの孫が生まれる」と聡子に報告しているところを、朝顔は思いがけず聞いてしまった。
DNA鑑定の結果、遺体は70代前半の男性で、身長160センチ、血液型O型ということまでしかわからなかった。警察に、息子を名乗る男性が現れた。DNA鑑定で親子関係を調べると息子の親、ナカジマシュウゾウということが判明した。息子は、「骨は警察で引き取ってもらえませんか」と淡々とした口調で語った。
動物の骨は犬の骨ということがわかり、犬の前足が折れていたことがわかった。心霊サイトの画像を調べると、亡くなったシュウゾウが写っていた。
親子の絆
シュウゾウは数年前から認知症を患っていた。夜、徘徊していたところを動画に撮られ心霊サイトにアップされたようだ。シュウゾウは、徘徊中に犬がシュウゾウを助けようとしたところ犬の前足が折れて、そのまま一緒に亡くなったようだ。
朝顔は、息子に骨を引き取ってもらえないか頼んだが、息子は拒んだ。父と息子の間には相当のあつれきがあるようです。現実にもありそうな悲しい結末です。茶子先生は、犬の骨の一部をシュウゾウの骨と一緒にしてあげた。せめてもの労いですね。
茶子先生は、朝顔と桑原の結婚の証人となり婚姻届けにサインしてくれた。その帰り、朝顔は物思いにふけっていた。父を残して、桑原と二人で新居に移ることを悩んでいたのだ。そこへ待ち合わせしていた桑原が、「朝顔の実家にお父さんと、朝顔と子供の4人で一緒に住もう」と提案してくれた。二人でベンチに座ってかき氷を食べながら、これからの二人の生活を想像して和んだ。中島親子のこともあり親子の絆を思い、朝顔もそう望んでいたのだ。
朝顔の旅立ち
家に帰ると「俺は反対だ。家を出ていきなさい」と、平は朝顔に言った。強い口調の平に、朝顔は「気を使ってるのはお父さんでしょ」と突き返した。朝顔自身も、母と父との思い出がつまった家をでることが寂しかったのだ。
朝顔は「明日、婚姻届を出して来る。明日で牧でなくなるけど」と、父と母の写真の前で「30年間大切に育ててくれてありがとうございました」と挨拶した。平は心決めたようで「もう好きにしていいから」と言い部屋に戻った。
年月は流れ、朝顔と桑原のの娘「つぐみ」が産まれ、幼稚園生になっていた。４人の温かな暮らしが始まった。

前回、朝顔の妊娠がわかり、新居や婚姻届け、そして娘が生まれてと展開が早く感じました。毎回の話で、必ず事件と遺体の解剖がありますが、それと共に平の里子への思い、朝顔の母への思いなど親子や夫婦の絆を考えさせられる、いいドラマだと思います。
今回の話は、特に親子の絆についてがテーマでした。白骨化された遺体の身元がせっかくわかったのに、息子は父親の骨を引き取ろうとはしなかった。そこに親子だからこそ、強い絆でもあり時にもろくもなることを映し出していました。
朝顔と桑原の関係もが何となく違和感というか、桑原のキャラだけに朝顔がいつも上に立ってしまう立ち位置で、自然のようなでもあまりしっくりと来ない感じを受けてしまうのが、何となくありますが、きっとこれからのドラマ展開で馴染んでいくのかなぁと思います。
これで第一章完結ということなので、第二章はどんな展開になっていくのか楽しみにしたいと思います。
