なつと大沢は原画、坂場は演出、そして3人が企画構成で、東洋動画の短編映画を担当することなった。
北海道の芝田家に訪れた千遥。なつと咲太郎は千遥に電話で会話し、北海道に会いに行くことを約束した。
北海道で信哉にふいに写真を撮られた千遥。「その写真はどうするんですか？誰にも見せないでください。」と語気を強めて言った。
北海道に到着したなつと咲太郎。しかし、そこに千遥の姿はなかった。千遥は女将に紹介された相手と結婚するため家族と縁を切る必要があった。2人に会ったら別れられなくなると思った千遥は逃げ出していた。
天陽に会いに行ったなつ。そこには天陽の嫁・靖枝もいて、なつは複雑な表情になった。
芝田家に戻ると、夕美子が帰ってきてなつは久しぶりの再会を喜んだ。

絵コンテは坂場と神地
”ヘンゼルとグレーテル”のストーリーが決まっらなつたち。今後は坂場がストーリーを脚本に起こして、それを神地と一緒に絵コンテにすることになった。
大沢はその決定に大きなため息をついた。
雪次郎の初めての声優は・・・
咲太郎が立ち上げた声優のプロダクションに依頼が入ってくる。作品は海外の30分シリーズの西部劇。その1話だけに出演する。
本番は、声も効果音も一発録り。一度でもミスすれば初めからやり直しだ。
本番が始まると、亀山とレミ子は予想以上に上手くこなし、咲太郎は思わず嬉しそうな顔をする。
しかし、藤田の子分が声を入れ始めると、声のタイミングが合っていない。収録は中断しやり直しになった。
やり直すと今度は雪次郎の”なまり”が問題になる。北海道のなまりが抜けない雪次郎のところで何度もやり直し、7回もやり直しになった。
見かねたベテラン声優・豊富は、雪次郎の口を手で抑え、雪次郎の台詞を自分で喋った。一人二役で会話したのだ。
雪次郎は茫然自失とするのだった。
なつの思い、大沢の思い
なつと三村は大沢を喫茶店に呼び出し話をする。
なつは、咲太郎が声優のプロダクションを立ち上げたので声優を紹介することができることを伝え、大沢が短編映画に乗り気じゃないのか、面白くないと思っているのかを聞いた。
大沢は「面白くないとおもってたらどうするの？」と聞く。
なつは「やめます。私はまこさんが納得してないと嫌なんです。まこさんと一緒に作りたいんです。日本で初めて原画になる女性はまこさんしかいないと思っています。」
と切実に訴える。
大沢は少し笑って「あなたってずるいわ。そうやって自分の情熱を貫き通すんだから。でも、物づくりには大事なことよ。私のことなんか気にしなくていいの。あなたは作品のことだけ考えていなさい。」と言った。
大沢は少しなつが羨ましそうに見えた。

・短編映画は坂場がストーリーを脚本に起こして、それを神地と一緒に絵コンテにすることになった。
・雪次郎の初めての声優の仕事は”なまり”で苦戦した。

豊富役の山寺宏一さんの声の使い分けは見事でしたね。
大沢は「なたは作品のことだけ考えていなさい。」と言っていましたが、何が不安なのか早く知りたいですね。ストーリーを書けない自分が置いてけぼりなのが悔しいのでしょうか。

夕美子からヒントを得たなつは”ヘンゼルとグレーテル”を短編映画の題材に、東洋動画のチームに提案し、受け入れられる。
脚本はアニメーターもみんなで作ることになり、坂場となつは2人で考えたストーリーを話す。そこに、新人アニメーター神地航也が次々とストーリーや絵を提案する。なつと坂場はその才能に引き込まれるが、大沢は戸惑いを感じていた。
