社内審査・・・
前回、社内審査に通らないと思われていた福永が作った安すぎる見積もりが通ってしまう。東山は「ありえない・・・。」とつぶやく。
チーフには賤ヶ岳が選ばれた。
東山は、審査をした担当に訳を聞く。担当曰く、丸杉常務が強引に通したと言う。
そんな時、賤ヶ岳の元に夫・陽介から「おふくろが倒れた。」と連絡が入る。
賤ヶ岳は急いで自宅の戻り、陽介の母に会いに行く陽介について行こうとするが、陽介は1人で母の元に行った。
検査の結果、母は脳梗塞だったという。話を聞いた東山は心配する。賤ヶ岳は「心配をかけたくないから。」と他の社員には秘密にしてくれと頼んだ。
諏訪の母が訪れる
東山が帰宅すると、家の前には諏訪の母が待っていた。驚く東山。諏訪に電話する。諏訪の事前のメッセージが届いていなかったようだ。そして、諏訪は仕事で遅くなるという。
東山は、しばらく諏訪の母と自宅で過ごすことになる。
諏訪の母は東山に聞く。「お仕事はいつまでやるの？結婚したら辞めるんでしょ？」
東山は驚いた様子で「続けていくつもりです。」と答えた。
諏訪の母は東山が結婚しても働く東山が羨ましかったようだ。
東山は帰ってきた諏訪にその事を話す。諏訪は東山に聞く。
「もし億万長者になったら働く？僕は働かないな。」
東山は少し悩んで「私は働くかな。」と答えた。
二人の仕事に対する考えは少し違うようだ。
星印と打ち合わせをする
東山ら賤ヶ岳、三谷は打ち合わせをしに星印社を訪れる。現れたのは福永がひいきにしている牛松1人。牛松はお世辞にも仕事ができるとは言えず、確認の返信もよこさない。
「上に確認してるんですが・・。」と慌てる牛松。
3人は牛松に不満を持ったまま会社に戻った。
賤ヶ岳の家に訪れる東山
東山は、夫が実家に帰っている賤ヶ岳の家事を手伝いに家に行く。諏訪も遅れて来る予定だ。
東山は「今度、陽介さんも一緒に集まれたらいいんですけどね。」と言う。
賤ヶ岳は「それは難しいかも。」と言う。
陽介は地元の熊本に帰り、母の後遺症のリハビリを手伝いたいという。
賤ヶ岳は、仕事を辞めるか陽介についていくか、このまま1人で仕事を続けるか悩んでいた。
そこに、諏訪が遅れてやってくる。料理を振る舞い、賤ヶ岳の赤ちゃんをあやす諏訪を見て賤ヶ岳は東山に言った。
「良い人で安心したー。今度こそ幸せになってよ。」
諏訪・東山、初めての喧嘩
仕事から家に帰ってきた東山と諏訪。
賤ヶ岳から、東山が前の職場で疲労で倒れたことを聞いていた諏訪はやたら不機嫌そうだ。
「なんで言ってくれなかったの！？」
諏訪は珍しく声を荒げる。
東山は「心配かけたくなかったから・・・。」と答える。
すると諏訪は言う。「でも種田さんには言ったよね？結衣ちゃんが仕事を続けたいのって種田さんと働きたいから？」
「種田さんとはそんなんじゃない。」と言う東山。しかし諏訪は、種田が東山を「好きですよ。」と言ったことを気にしていた。
二人は初めて激しい喧嘩をした。
種田の思い
東山はいつもの中華屋に行って呑んだくれた。そこに、たまたま種田が現れ、酔いつぶれた東山を解放する。
種田は東山をおぶって仕事場まで運び、自分の服を毛布代わりにかぶせソファーにそっと寝かせた。
種田は思わず東山の頬を撫でようとするが、我に返り思いとどまった。
翌朝、東山が起きると種田はデスクの上で寝ていた。東山は「ご迷惑をおかけしました。」とメモを残して、家に帰った。
家に帰ると「昨日は本当にごめん！」と諏訪が謝ってきた。
東山は「こっちこそごめん・・。」と答えるものの、その表情は微妙だった。
帰ってきた陽介
賤ヶ岳が自宅にいると、熊本にいるはずの陽介が帰ってくる。
賤ヶ岳は驚き「どうして！？」と聞く。
陽介は答える「結婚記念日。結婚記念日はどれだけ忙しくても2人でいようって決めたでしょ？いつもありがとう。」
そう言って花を渡した。
「ありがとう。」賤ヶ岳は泣きながら陽介に抱きついた。
翌日、賤ヶ岳は東山に報告する。
「私、しばらく仕事休んで子どもたちと熊本に行く。家族と一緒に居たい。」
東山は「覚悟を決めて決断した先輩はすごいなと思います。私はどっちも好きですよ。かっこよく仕事している先輩も、家族といる時の優しい先輩も。だから先輩がどっちを選んでも、私は先輩を応援します！」
とエールを送った。
賤ヶ岳の休職に福永は
福永に休職を申し出た賤ヶ岳。福永は納得行かない様子だ。
「ちょっと困るよ。途中で仕事放り投げるなんて賤ヶ岳さんらしくないじゃない。星印の案件終わってからじゃ駄目なの？」と言う。
しかし、賤ヶ岳の意思は変わらない。
「みなさん、本当に申し訳ありません。」賤ヶ岳はみんなに頭を下げ。福永にも頭を下げ続けた。
その様子を見ていた東山が賤ヶ岳に駆け寄り言う。
「大丈夫です！チーフは私が受け継ぎます。」
賤ヶ岳の仕事は東山が継ぐことになった。
本当の理由
福永は東山を呼び出し
「チーフになったんだから定時で帰るのはやめてよね。もう少し種田くんのために頑張ってもバチは当たらないと思うなー。」
と言う。
「どういうことですか？」と言う東山。
福永は言った。
「やっぱりなんにも知らないんだね。教えてあげるよ。種田くんがなんで僕の会社を辞めたのか。ネットヒローズに入ったのか。その本当の理由。」

前回ネタバレ記事での予想どおり、最終章は福永の闇がテーマになってくるみたいですね。
あんなに仲の良かった東山と諏訪の関係も怪しくなってきました。そして、種田の東山に対する気持ちはどんどん大きくなっている気がします。
諏訪も種田もいい男なので、最終的に東山がどちらを選ぶのか気になりますね。どっちを選んでもスッキリはしなさそうですが・・・。
