芝野の恩師の会社『マジテック』の再生に努める
銀行員で働いていた芝野健夫(玉木宏)は「人を救う仕事がしたい」と思い企業再生家になり大手電機メーカーあけぼの電機でCROとして働いていたが、ある時恩師が亡くなったという訃報が届く。
藤村登喜男(平泉成)はマジテックという会社の社長で発明家だったが2人の子供たちを残して亡くなってしまう。
登喜男の通夜に行った芝野であったが通夜で登喜男の子供やマジテックの社員と再会する。
通夜ではかつて芝野が勤めていた銀行で働いていた村尾にも再会したがこのときはあいさつ程度で終わった。
芝野の恩師、登喜男の会社『マジテック』は借金まみれで倒産しかけていた。
登喜男は発明家としてはすごかったが経営に関しては無頓着であったためこのような経営難の状態であった。
芝野は登喜男の娘、息子とマジテック社員、桶本修に再会し、マジテックの状況を知っていき、恩師の会社でもあるマジテックの再生に尽力したいと思う。
芝野は自らマジテックの専務となり恩師の会社の再生のため尽力する。
会社を再生したい浅子
登喜男の娘、藤村浅子(貫地谷しほり)はマジテックの経理担当で会社が再生することを願っているが、借金まみれで社長の登喜男がいない会社の状況に悩んでいる。
弟の望に会社のことを一緒に考えてほしいが希は協力してくれなかった。一時は特許を売って借金返済に充てようと思ったが、芝野に相談にのってもらう。
・ジテックの再生に協力しだす望
一方で登喜男の息子、藤村望(戸塚純貴)は父登喜男と同じ大学の受験に失敗して音楽に逃げていた。姉の浅子ともけんかになったり会社のことにあまり協力的ではなかったが、芝野と出会いマジテックの再生に協力しだす。
芝野への復讐を目論む村尾とそれに協力するナオミトミナガ
芝野はマジテックを再生させるために働くがマジテックを買収しようとする信用金庫支店代理の村尾浩一(眞島秀和)が現れ、ホライズンキャピタル社長のナオミ・トミナガ(真矢みき)と手を組みだす。
村尾はテレビで中小企業を買収していくナオミ・トミナガのことを知り注目し、芝野に対する復讐のためにナオミ・トミナガに会い、協力してもらおうと持ち掛けたのだ。
ナオミ・トミナガも村尾の相談を面白いと協力しだす。
村尾はかつて芝野と同じ銀行に勤めていたが芝野と村尾の2人は因縁があり、村尾は芝野に復讐を目論んでいた。
今のところ村尾は芝野に対して穏やかに接しているが、ナオミ・トミナガと組んだことにより芝野への復讐を始めようとしていた。
マジテックが開発した難病の少女を助けるマジテックガード
マジテックに電話がかかってきて、マジテックの社員や芝野は電話先に急いで駆け付ける。
そこにいたのは3000人から5000人に1人という先天性の難病を抱えた少女、正木奈津美(野波麻帆)の娘、正木希実(宝辺花帆美)だった。
難病の希実をサポートするマジテックガードというものをマジテックはつくっていた。
希実のマジテックガードのつけているところが痛いというこであった。
希のマジテックガードは希実が大きくなったことによりサイズが合わなくなってきてしまったため痛いということで連絡が来たようだ。その場はねじの調整でどうにかなったが、大きくて軽いマジッテクガードを作るには試作品を考えたり、現在のマジテックには経済的にも難しい状況だ。
