雅志（永山絢斗）は順子の事故を知り、ロシア行きが決定する大事なレセプションを投げ出して順子の元へ…。

・順子の容態
手術室の前で待つ順子の両親と雅志、美和の４人。
手術が終わり手術室から先生達が出てきます。
由利は試験会場で試験を受けています。
意識がいつ戻るのか先生に尋ねる順子の母。
頭を打って軽い脳挫傷だが、手術の必要はないと先生が答えます。
後は様子を見るしかないと伝えます。
「宜しくお願いします」と順子の母が先生に言います。
「体調が悪く倒れ込んだ受験生を助けようとしてバイクに轢かれた」と順子の父が言います。
「順子らしい」と美和と雅志が答えます。
順子の容態を確認するため、受験が終わった由利は美和に電話をかけます。
命に別状はないが、今のところ意識が戻っていないと美和が伝えます。
雅志が電話を代わり、「由利が来ても何もできることはないから、明日の受験に集中しろ」と言われます。
由利が「だけど…。」と言うと、雅志が「順子もそう言うだろうし、そのためにそこにいるんだろう」と言います。
電話を握りしめ立ち尽くす由利。
病室には順子の様子を心配する順子の両親。

翌日の東大二次試験２日目。
試験に臨む由利。
順子の病室に美和が訪れ、順子の母親に「代わるので少し休んで下さい」と言います。
意識を取り戻す順子。
朦朧としている順子に、美和が声をかけます。
順子はマスクを外し、美和に由利のことを尋ねます。
試験が終わり会場から出てくる由利。
病室に雅志が訪れ、「本当に良かった」と順子に声をかけます。
順子は「心配かけてごめんね」と謝ります。
「もう起きないかと思った」という雅志に、「跳ねられたときは死んだかと思った」と順子が答えます。
順子は雅志に「レセプションがどうだったの？」と尋ねます。
言葉を濁しながら、「成功した」と雅志は答えます。
病室に順子の両親が訪れ、美和が検査のため入院が必要だと先生が言っていたと伝えます。
順子が運ばれた病院の前に、走ってきた由利。
病院の前で立ち止まっていると、雅志から順子の意識が戻ったとメールが送られてきます。
由利は病室を見つめ、順子の元には行かず振り返って歩き出します。
家に帰ってきた由利は、家の前で父親に会います。
父親から「試験はどうだった？」と聞かれた由利は、「親父と一緒だった」と答えます。
高みを目指した時に、厳しい選択を迫られる時が来ると言っていた父親の言葉を由利は思い出します。

携帯には由利のアドレスが表示されています。
由利は部屋で携帯を眺め、順子のアドレスを見つめています。
死ぬかもしれないと思った時に思い浮かんだのは…由利だと順子が思います。

由利は順子のことが好きなんだと美和が順子に伝えます。
由利の好きは、「受験という危機を目の前にした、吊り橋効果だ」と順子は言います。
だからそれで目が覚めるなら、それでいいと順子は言います。
「順子はそれでいいの？」と美和が尋ねます。
「東大に行く由利の足手まといにはなりたくない」と順子が答えます。
学校の教室から外を眺める由利。
「あとは結果を待つだけか？」と山下が由利に声をかけます。
自己採点はどうなのか尋ねる山下に、順子が事故に遭って入院したことを由利が伝えます。
「なんで見舞いに行かないんだ？」と山下に言われます。
由利は順子よりも受験を選んだことで、「捨てたと思われたかもしれない」と山下に言います。
「そんなわけがない」と山下が答えます。
受験に集中したことに後悔はしていないが、そんな自分が嫌いになったと由利が言います。
教室から立ち去る由利。
雅志はロシア行きがなくなり、プロジェクトからも外されたと西大井に伝えます。
順子へのプロポーズの返事はどうなったのか西大井は尋ねます。
「まだ…。」と雅志が答え、ロシア行きがなくなりいつまでも返事が待てると言います。
明日順子の病室に一緒に行って、雅志のアシストをすると西大井が言います。
翌日、順子の病室を訪れる雅志達。
順子の前で雅志を褒めまくる西大井。
そこに美和と山下が訪れます。
美和と西大井はお互いの顔を見合わせ驚きます。
美和と西大井の会話から、雅志が順子にプロポーズしたことを知り、一同驚きます。
お互い嘘を付いて会っていた美和と西大井。

今までの雅志との出来事を振り返る順子。
順子は思い詰めた表情を浮かべます。
南高等学校では卒業式が行われます。
「卒業おめでとう」と生徒に伝える山下。
「ここからが大人のスタートだ、頑張れよ！」と山下が言います。
笑みを浮かべる由利。
由利に声をかけ、順子の病院に行ってきたと山下が言います。
「それで？」と由利が尋ねます。
「元気そうだった、由利によく頑張ったって言っていた」と山下が伝えます。
校門の前で江藤が由利のことを待っています。
由利がいたから頑張れたと江藤が伝えます。
そして「匡くん、大好き」と江藤が告白します。
「ごめん」と謝る由利。
そんな由利に「順子とのことをどうするの？」と江藤が尋ねます。
「もう生徒じゃないし、問題ない。ちゃんと好きだともう一度伝える」と由利が言います。
「好きだと伝えてその先の将来はどうするの？」と江藤が尋ねます。
江藤の言葉に考えさせられる由利。
そんな由利を見て、「２人とも好きだから幸せになって欲しい」と江藤が言います。
病院の屋上で話をする順子と雅志。
ロシア行きのことを謝る順子。
「雅志がそばにいてくれたことがどんなにありがたかったわかった」と順子が言います。
「雅志のことは好きだけど、結婚とかの好きではない」と謝る順子。
「わかってた」と雅志が答えます。
ただ、順子のことを好きになって良かったと雅志が伝えます。
「ありがとう」と順子がお礼を言います。

退院し家に戻ってきた順子と順子の母。
受験に落ちた時のことを話し始める順子と順子の母。
自分のことをひどい親だったと順子に伝える順子の母。
「お母さんの子育ては成功だよ」と順子が言います。
塾講師になり、由利と出会ったことで今は幸せだと順子は伝えます。
順子にありがとうと言われ、涙する順子の母。
塾に出勤した順子の元に、百田が正規の講師になったと訪れます。
順子も「契約社員は終わりで、正規の講師としてお願いします」と塾長に言われます。
東大合格発表当日。

新入生学部ガイダンスを受ける由利。
塾で生徒に指導する順子。
カフェで雅志と再会する由利。

・美和と西大井が話していた知り合いが雅志のことだった。
・合格が有力だと思われていた江藤（エトミカ）が、京大不合格だったこと。
・雅志のプロポーズを受け入れるかと思っていた順子でしたが、やはりそこに恋愛感情は成立してなかった。

・由利は東大に合格した。
・由利と順子は無事結ばれた。
